Max. Processing Height:
The hot foil pen uses heat to bond foil to the material, creating a more vibrant, long-lasting finish that resists water and wear. It also works on a wider range of materials for greater creative flexibility.
The hot foil pen works best on smooth-surfaced materials, including: paper, cardstock, vellum, glitter card, faux leather, acrylic, wood, and more.
It supports materials up to 21 mm thick. With a raiser base, the thickness extends to 139 mm, making it perfect for personalizing gift boxes and other 3D projects!
For the best results, we recommend using our specially matched foils. If using third-party foils, opt for heat-activated adhesive foils with a response temperature of around 90°C.
The hot foil pen operates at 90–100°C and is not adjustable. Its maximum temperature may vary depending on the surrounding environment—colder conditions can lower the peak heat output slightly.
For optimal results, select recommended settings from the EasySet Library. If working with unlisted materials, start with test runs using different parameters. Always keep your material surface smooth and the foil tightly pressed to minimize inconsistencies. Note that foil performance may vary based on its unique properties.
No, excessive pressure may deform the pen tip. However, you can try using a foil transfer tip for debossing first, then apply heat foiling to enhance the effect.
