The Log Cabin seems to come from the dawn of time as the famous textile historian, Jane Hall, reminds us in her preface. For her first book, Amy Pabst interprets this motif in a very innovative way and is based on a daring project: to compose a series of quilts in which the total number of pieces would reach the number of 100,000!

Here she shares her techniques for sewing extremely fine bands, her sources of inspiration and explains her creative process. How from the same block, Amy manages to compose such different pieces, it is a matter of great talent and a lot, a lot of experimentation!
